Is there a way to query active directory from an access database form? I would like to be able to type in a user name, and auto-populate other fields on the form such as phone number, office, etc.

Thanks,
Eric

Eric,

Where does the information you wish to use in the auto-update reside? In another table? You can open a table, look for the user and find all his/ her data.

I have a main table, i.e. CustomerInfo.Login

I want to enter a login ID, and search active directory, find a match to the login ID, and copy info from the AD to the table. Is this possible?

You say to search the active directory. What sort of file does the ID table (or information) reside in?

I am not sure what type of file it is. It is the basic "Windows 2000 Active Directory" network. Are you familiar with the format?

What is the extension on the file. If your Windows Explorer does not show extension, set it so that it does. It is a mistake, in my opinion, to not show them.
