Can someone tell me why this does not work with 2 staements in the criteria. If I remove either one it words. Thanks

SELECT Sports.Sport
FROM Sports
WHERE (((Sports.Sport) Like [FORMS]![MasterQuery].[L1V1B].[CAPTION] & '*' Or (Sports.Sport) Like [FORMS]![MasterQuery].[LNAME2].[CAPTION] & '*'))
ORDER BY Sports.Sport;

I have never heard of anyone using a Caption property in a query criteria. This is almost always done with bindable controls such as text boxes, combo boxes, etc.

Your subject suggests listbox however your question mentions nothing about a listbox.
