Query re fresh Win2K Build

Am shortly to perform a fresh install of Win2k pro, and as the machine is a single stand alone/non networked machine, apart from a cable internet connection, which components are not necessary to install for this situation from the outset? Any help is appreciated.

Just let the installation sense what hardware is there, and let it run! I do recommend checking the box to always require a login, and do put an Adminstrator password on it. Go with FAT32 rather than NTFS for your boot partition, and create a second partition of data
Later on you can make sure that the box to allow indexing of the drive is NOT checked. Get SP3 and apply it, and keep current from Windowsupdate. good luck! Fred Wagner
