When a query is done in a report. Does it do the complete query and build another data base to pull the information from. Also if so , i guess it would just pull from the first record it found.
Second. Does it matter in which order you place information in a query. Does it pick up information in that order . Example , if i placed a calculation statement say total:[Field1] + [field3] at the end or beginning.

Thanks In Advance.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your first question. Could you rephrase it?

It does matter what order you put fields in a query, if you are doing calculations. I believe that fields referenced in a calculation must come before the calculation itself.

Sorry about that.
I was trying to figure out if the query goes in a particular order of finding fields. Also i take it that if one of the field, that is in the query you are running, is from another query , it would run the other query first to get that information.
Also, when a query is done for a report. Does it get each record and then place it on the report , then go back and continue the query.

Thanks In Advance.

Yes, if Query1 has a field that is based on Query2, then Query2 is run first.

I believe that the entire query is run before the report is formatted. You might want to check out these help topics: Format Event, Print Event, Find Out When Events Occur.

Hope this helps.
