You know how in Access you can write query - see join tables in design view and flip to SQl statement?

I need to have the same thing done with SQL Server.
I have a query that I need to be able to show drawing for tables how they joined together. Is there way to do this?

Also is there way for me to run this drawing/query to make sure I joined tables correctly on my diagram?

It was so convenient in Access...but have to move on.
Thanks

I finally got it all together and forgot where I put it.

If you use Enterprise Manager to create a view, you will get a graphical layout for your query. It's different than Access, but also similar in many respects.

The purpose of it is to let user wright their own query (I know...don't rell me, not my idea) and they have to see how to join tables. I have to make sure I am showing it correctly. Thanks again

If your users are already familiar with Access, then you can create an Access database that is linked to a SQL Server database. All the query building stuff is the same for them.

In a blank Access database, click File -> Get External Data -> Link

In the 'files of type', choose ODBC Databases(), configure ODBC to point to the proper server/database. There's more to it, but hopefully it will be obvious to you after you get started doing this.
