n00b Avaya question here.

I'm writing a PC app (SQL Script or .Net, undecided) and I need to be able to find available agents in an ACD for live-transfer workflow routing within my application. If I know the ACD number, can the Avaya database be queried by an external application to find the Agent Numbers who are available in the ACD?

If so, what type of database does Avaya use in the Definity system?

You will need to integrate to the PBX via a CTI interface such as TSAPI, or JTAPI. This would require the external Application Enablement Server (AES).

Cool. Also looks like AES supports some XML interchanges as well. I'm looking through the Avaya DevConnect site for specific info, but this appears to be exactly what I wanted. We do have an AES, so this looks good for me.

Thanks, and have a star.
