Every day I receive a text file containing updates to my database.
So my plan is to simply update the link to the linked table every day.
As I was creating the database, I ran a MakeTable query on the linked file and then modified it with additional fields, which were also populated using update queries. Then I ran the Analyze/Table Wizard on the modified table and developed three tables with a query based on the original table. From there I went on to develop the queries needed to generate the desired reports.
Everything I want is working just fine. All queries forms, etc....
QUESTION::::
When I update the link to the linked table, does Access remember all the analyzing and splitting and modifying that I did? I really hope that I don't have to recreate the entire structure every day.
If it doesn't remember it, first, I think I will howl at the moon and wail loudly, and then ask for suggestions from all of you!
Thanks for all comments
