quarkxpress US to British keyboard settings

I have to use US keyboard settings to use Quarkxpress 4.0 for windows.
This is not convenient because then I have to reset the keyboard settings to British so I can use other programs on my computer.
Is there a way to make the program work with British keyboard settings?

Upgarde to 4.11, Quark should be able to work with a UK keyboard. Is the Quark a Beta or US version of Quark? If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

If you have the US English (now there's an oxymoron) version of Quark it will only run on US English OS. That's probably why.

It was hard coded into the app by the Quark programmers in Denver so you can't change it (that I know of).

The Quark 5 beta is time bombed so beware, but the full product should be out end Q1, bugs permitting.

Does this mean I should give up?
Currently keyboard setting is English (United States)
I would prefer to use English (United Kingdom)
If only UK and USA could unite!

Sorry if you have a US version, you will only be able to use the US keyboard. Sorry!!! If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

The UK and the US can never unite - two countries separated by one language. "US English" by a***.

I'm not sure which items need to be changed to be compatible with UK settings (measurements, currency usage, punctuation or what).

On a US Mac, I would set as many elements as possible in Quark preferences and write an AppleScript to swap system prefs in and out. On a UK Windows machine, I'm not aware of anything that's equivalent, unless you could write a Visual Basic program to do the job.

If you could be specific as to what needs to vary, maybe some of us could give more specific suggestions.
