My OS is 10.4.6 and im using QuarkXpress 6.5. As of today, im missing almost my entire font list. I only have 8 fonts available. Do i just place the fonts back into the libary/fonts folder? Does anybody know where my fonts went? Please advise, thank you all who help.

Hi UNIX72
Did you open Font Book in Applications to see if they got closed somehow?
Also if you're running OS 10.4.6 upgrade to OS 10.4.8 that might put them back.

Hope this helps

Thanks IMackQarker for the suggestions, but i can't find the font book folder in applications. Do you know what folder does Quark use to reference fonts? I know the problem is within Quark. Please advise, thanks.

Hi UNIX72
Font Book.app, is a system OS X file located in your Applications Folder. With Font Book you can open and close fonts as you like. To open Font Book just double click the icon. Do a search for Font Book and that should find it, if it is installed
I can't think of a reason why fonts are not showing up in QuarkXPress.
Do all of the fonts show up in other applications like Text Edit?
Inside your Quark folder there is a folder called For System, inside there is an icon to click on and install system components. When I first installed Quark 6.5 those components did not get installed, maybe if you double click that icon and let it run it might help.
Also inside your Quark folder there should be a folder named Preferences, that folder also did not get installed when I first installed Quark 6.5, so if that folder is not in the Quark folder then create a folder and name it Preferences. Then when you relaunch Quark It will fill up with what it needs.
In QuarkXPress look under Utilities for extensions and see if all your extensions are loaded and active.
Also under Utilities look for Component Status and see if all your components are active.
Hope this helps
