Hope someone can help?

Quark 4.11 (Mac)

Quark has stopped returning to the previous location each time I need to open a file.

I've tried everything I can think of including, running DiskWarrior, Norton Tools, rebuilding desktop & deleting Preference file. Sometimes it works normally, but the next morning it will revert back to the problem.

If anyone has a solution they could recommend I'd be extremely grateful.

Cheers,

Dave

From Quark 5 upward, there is a Preference called Default Path, and you can choose the folder from whence you can navigate. I didn't see any such deal in Quark 4.

Many thanks for the suggestions guys. I've tried reinstalling an archived copy of the software, but still the program goes back to the desktop every time I need to open a file.

I'm sure it must be the system software (9.1) that is causing the problem as I can temporarily 'fix' the problem by doing a desktop rebuild. This might get me through the day, but the problem usually rears its head the following day. If anyone knows what system files Quark 4.11 uses I'd be much obliged, as I'd like to try replacing these files first, otherwise I may have to re-install OS 9.1, which I don't fancy doing.
