Hello

Can anyone tell me if there are compatablity problems betwen Quark docs created in Quark on a Apple Mac and Quark docs created on a PC.

Thanks

Graham

Only fonts. PCs like to see .qxd in the name too. Other than that I have seen no issues.

The only issues are:

Fonts and the fact which ever way you go you will have to update the pictures, PC's and macs look at folder differently.
You can convert all the fonts for PC from mac or convert all fonts for the mac fro the PC.

Plus as Zelandakh put .QXD on all the files that are going between. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

if you leave all the pics in the same folder as the doc you don't need to update them.

How would you convert the fonts between Mac and PC oh Master Matt? LOL

WOW !!!

Thanks for your quick responses - Ok I understand the .QXD file extension bit and also the Pics would have to be transfered but how do you convert fonts from Mac to PC ?

"r tape loading error"

There is a program you can buy to do this, can't remember the name of it.

Even if you leave the images in the same folder you will still have to map them Zelandakh.

Try this link for a demo of a convertor for the fonts:

this is not the app I used to use but it should work. If you can't fix it in 20 call someone who can.

I used to use fontographer and I think that was the font converter program but it is years old.
