i'll be working in quark, do some image work in photoshop and click back on quark and some of the images are deleted. the picture boxes are there but they are empty. if i copy and paste all the elements into a new document the problem will go away (most likely) but i want to know if anyone else has encountered this problem and what they did to fix it.

I've not come across this problem before.
What file format are you saving the photoshop files in?

Hi Amccord,

Well Amccord, I would like some more information on this :

1. Which OS are you using ?

2. Does this happen with just one document or all the documents of QuarkXPress ?

As a test create another Quark document and use the same images or some other images and see if you face the same problem.

To check whether the images are there or have been deleted go to Utilities > Usage > Pictures and check the status of the Pictures that you've used in your document. If the status reads "Missing" then that means that the images are there and you might be having some redraw problems or something like that.

It could be possible that the path to the images is missing or changed. check out the details in the utilities>usage>pictures.

Also make it sure that the kind of images u are trying to import are of the type, which u have the appropriate XTension. could be possible u dont have the required XTension to import that particular type of the images.(check out the XTension in the QuarkXPress folder)

search for the required xtension on or google.

if u still face the proble try re-importing them from their originals( u can also rename the originals in photoshop and again import them)

Hope this help.
