Trying to print to PDF, from Quark 5 to Acrobat 5 through distiller, which has been fine before, but for some annoying reason, on the bleed option bit, if you try and select symmetrical on the drop down menu, its all just blank? Please please help!
I skiped version 5 so I can't remember if they added the export feature in it, but in your preferences under PDF can you switch Export to PDF to Export to Postscript. then File>Export to PDF to create your Postcript, under options on your save as dialog box set your bleeds and whatever else you need.
Distill your ps as needed.
Or you could print to file, or output to file, differs on PC and Mac on how you do that though.
Thank you for replying! In the export feature, I only have a greyed out export to html? Is the preferences bit where u change the xtensions etc? I dont seem to have an option for PDF? (im using a pc if that helps)
On OSX you just pick a regular printer, do all your normal setup, then under the printer setup set your ‘output options’ choose save as File, Format Postscript.
On OS9 under the printer setup, switch the ouput on the top right menu from printer, to file.
In Windows, not sure.
If it is windows, and it worked before but it isn’t now, maybe something happened to your driver for distiller under your printers.
