Hi!

I'm having a problem with Quark 6. My company just bought two copies and put it on two separate computers.

Whenever I start Quark, it asks me to activate the application (this should only be a one time thing). I'll activate it then try to create a new file. The first time I try nothing happens, and if I try to create a file again, quark quits with the "Quark XPress has unexpectedly quit" error. The same thing happens on both computers (two different copies of quark).

I've been through all of the troubleshooting stuff quark has with the program and nothing works. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

OS version? 10.2.6? Are you the admin user and/or do you share the Mac with other user accounts?

We use OSX 10.2.6 , and I'm the admin user. There are currently no other accounts on the computer.

Quark tech support is helping me just about as much as a brain tumor might.

If Quark is installed on the system drive (not a remote/network or partitioned drive) then I cannot suggest anything.

Since this appears to be an activation issue, set aside a day and try calling Quark support. Ask them to help with the problem or get a return authorization number for two seats of defective software. That might poke them into action.

I wouldn't compare Quark support with a brain tumor. Some tumors are operable.
