Hello all i am completely new to Quark never used it before. But i had a files done on Quark and saved as QXD i needed to have it converted to MS Word (editable) DOC file. after reading all over, I ended up converting it to PDF acrobat. So far so good. But when i try to convert the PDF to Word(DOC) and check it with print preview everything every text is massed up can someone tell me what am i doing wrong please i need this files to be converted to Word DOC.

Thanks for all the help

What version of Quark? Why don't you just "Save as text" right from Quark and open it in Word?

Its from Quark 6 i don't know if that works i need the word document to be editable in word.

Select a text frame and choose File>Save Text (for each and every text frame)

You cannot take the composite layout from Quark into Microsoft Word.

I'm lost again the quark file that i have is one file with 43 pages its a club menu no pictures because we don't know how to use quark we like this to be word file so that every-time the menu changes we add the changes.
Thats what i need and it is only for one menu that all

..... <- You can borrow a few of these. I won't mind sparing a few.

Quark QXD
Acrobat PDF
Word DOC
Sound MP3
Image JPG

...all different file formats that do not move from one to another.

You don't know how to use Quark but you bought it for one menu? I smell fish on your menu. Quark technical support may have other options for you.

Thats why i cant keep it as QXD format

You said
after reading all over, I ended up converting it to PDF acrobat'.

How did you convert to PDF without Quark? Does this mean you cannot do the 'save text' option that was suggested? Sorry - you implied you had Quark when you converted to PDF. I cannot think of any application that can convert QXD directly to PDF - - except Quark.

Perhaps the confusion came from the way you asked the question. The spelling, grammar and missing punctuation indicates English may be a second language. I often forget that the internet is global. You may also post your question in your native language.

If the original designer is unwilling to convert the document for you, then you can take it to any other designer or print shop to have it converted. Seeing that it is 43 pages, you will probably have this professionally printed. Your printer could extract the text for you.

I apologize if I am making incorrect assumptions about your situation but you gave very little information in your initial question.

If you don't have Quark or a program that imports QXD files, there is nothing that you alone can do with this file.

Thank you for clarifying this for me yes it is maybe because of the grammar i used, i misspelled the explanation

The files QXD i have was done with another company who worked with Quark. Now the company is off business, so we decided to convert the QXD somehow to Word thinking its only once in a moon we need to change little here and there and that we knew how to work with word like every beginner do.
So i asked a friend of mine who has a Quark so he converted it to PDF. Fine and dandy but we cannot edit the PDF how do we convert this PDF to Word thats the whole ordeal that i was going through.
Sorry one more time for my grammar.

I would go back to your friend then. It is just as simple to export text as it is to export a PDF. As a general rule, PDF should be considered an end result that cannot be used further. It is difficult to extract anything out of a PDF without Adobe Illustrator.
