QUARK 6 CANNOT MAKE PDF

WHWN TRIED TO MAKE PDF FROM MY QUARK 6 DOCUMENT NOTEPAD POPING AND SAY: %%[ Error: undefined; OffendingCommand: setdistillerparams; ErrorInfo: CalCMYKProfile U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2 ]%%
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
Error accessing color profile: U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

ANY IDEA HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM.

First, are you patched to QuarkXPress 6.5?

Second, how are you producing the PDF: through Jaws or Distiller?

Answering these questions may resolve your issues on their own.

Hi Jimoblak,

Thans to tried to solve my problem.
I am not patched to 6.5 because when tried to upgrade to 6.1 have message: you cannot upgrade this version of QuarkXpress (?!)
I tri to print from Quark by choosing Acrobat PDF option in printer windows. My printer Lexmark have not option "print to file", so I can't make PS to use destiller. My Acrobat is 7.0 Pro.
Sam problem come up when choosing option File>Export as PDF.
Well if you know answer to my problem I would be more than appreciated.

Where did you get this version of QuarkXPress that you cannot update it?

Search the manual for instructions on setting up a virtual postscript printer.

Go to your preferences, under the PDF settings switch your workflow from directly creating PDFs to creating postscript files. Then go File>Export PDF … save your postscript and distill.

That’s how I do it anyways
