Basically we are working Mac to Mac...

He has upgraded to Quark 7.0 and we have Quark 6.5. He saved files as 6.0 and ftp-ed to us. Prior to this upgrade, this process worked fine.

Now our Quark will not open his files.

I called Quark. They suggested to upgrade to 6.52 and he upgrade to 7.1. Resent files. Still nothing opens.

What to do?

We are now upgrading to 7.1 to see if it's a version problem.

Any other suggestions?

Could it be possible that someone changed their client ftp settings - usually the sender?

We use Fetch for ftp and leave the format set to automatic. We get no problems. Sometimes, if you make it something like mac binary it gets botched, especially if loaded onto a non mac ftp server.

Just a thought.
