Quark 5.0 (landscape) printing problem

Here's an oddity...the document is Letter size set up in landscape with 2 columns. The printer is a HP LaserJet2100.
Attempts to print result in the 1st copy being fine; all subsequent copies have a series of verticle lines running across the doc every 1/16th" or so.

What gives? Any workaround?
