Quark 5.0 EPS Won't Open in Photoshop

Hi all,

Here is my dilemma at work. I saved a Quark 5.0 file as an EPS. The problem is that when I try to open it in PhotoShop, it tells me that I can't parse the file. I'm not sure if the problem lies in PhotoShop or if it lies in Quark. I can import the EPS in Quark with no problem but I need to be able to open the EPS in PhotoShop as I work on a print publication and we print from pixels. I am in a Mac environment. I've tried opening it on a G3, OS 9.2 and on a G5, OS 10.

Has anyone ever come across this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Take your Quark eps file and run it through Acrobat distiller to make a pdf file of it then open the pdf file in Photoshop.
