QuarkXpress was working just fine as 5.01 with Windows XP SP2. "One day" the product stopped functioning - Im the new tech for this organization and that was the wonderful detailed information I received on this ticket.

Anyways, looking at the machine, the product would start (could see it executing in Task Manager), but never display the program for the user - it would just take up system resources. So, I attempted a repair install - no change.
I then removed the program and installed the original 5.0 version. That yielded a splash screen, calling up a number of files in the load-up process. Then, the splash screen would disappear and Quark would quit (disappeared from Task Manager). So, I upgraded it to 5.01 from the website - the only change was that the splash screen no longer appears. I removed the Preferences folder, as mentioned in other forums - no change.

It runs on a fresh install of XP (on another machine), so I know its not a compatibity issue with hardware or XP. Are there any issues with Adobe and Pinnacle products? The effected machine also has Illustrator, Acrobat, PageMaker, Photoshop, & Pinnacle Studio.
