Running Quark 4.1 on Win 98 OS, machines are P3 650's with 128 mg Ram. Have always had a problem with the program getting corrupted and not launching, easy fix there by renaming or re-installing, but recently one machine will crash constantly, we are able to work for about 10 minutes and boom, illegal operation message and Quark shuts down. Uninstalled the program and re-installed, same problem. We work from a shared drive on an NT Server, all graphics, images etc are saved and collected on that drive and other boxes have no problems.Memory resources are ok, and the local hard drive is only 65% full. Any ideas????

There was a thread in this forum recently about people experiencing memory leaks in Quark (version 5 I think). Have you seen it?

Other than that, does your network have any background programs running that may be interfering with Quark? If the troublesome machine has Quark installed locally, try disconnecting it from the network drive as an experiment and see if Quark behaves normally. I don't know the cure if this is the problem, but at least you'll have some idea of the source.

Good luck, you'll need it I think.
