QT H.264 Slideshow not working on most PCS

I recently got QT Pro so that I could use the awsome h.264 codec. I authored a slide show in iMovie and compressed using H.264 following a tutorial, double pass option, etc. It works on my MacG4 laptop, but on most PC's I've tested it on, it takes forever to load then it does not play. Friends who have tested have mixed results, even on Mac.
