QSig trunking between IPOffice and Siemens HiPath

Hi Guys.

I'm working on networking an IPOffice 500 V2 kit with a Siemens Hipath 4000 using Qsig protocol.

We've managed to establish calls from IPO500 going into the Siemens - ring correctly with two-way speech. However calls originating from the Siemens into the IPO500 do not work.

Running monitor traces results in ISDN packets hitting the IPO but no activity on the Avaya end (no ringing). Trace as below:

I believe I have to create shortcodes to create destinations for inbound calls as Qsig calls do not use incoming call routes.

Any suggestions?

Yes you need system shortcodes or line shortcodes.
Only downside is that line shortcodes need a reboot.
