hi,

I want to administrate windows 2003 server(s) from my desktop machine --all machince resides in a single LAN. Do i need remote administration option, Delegation or what? I am specifically interested in best practices

Secondly, How to force software installation on specific client(s) from server or delegated machine? like forcing antivirus installation.

Thanks,
miq

To force software installations I would create a group policy on the server. you can set it up on a machine or user basis. With regards to remote administration I believe there is a group policy option to allow/disallow users but the server you are connecting to will ask for an administrator/equivelant username and password to log on any way
