Hello everyone, new here and need your help desperately. I am attempting to determine how to set up guranteed bandwidth or QoS for VPN traffic through our cisco 2612 router to a Nortel VPN Contivity box. Any ideas and suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

thank you,

Vinni

youll need to set up some QOS.
the policy map will contain classes which you can use to seperate your different classes of service...

in each class you will use the match statement to match something in the traffic.. this could be the TOS or Precedence or an acess-list to match specific traffic etc...

youll find some config examples below...
the bandwidth statement will reserve whatever value you use...

if there is no congestion in the router other traffic will be able to utilize its bandwidth.. and also it will be able to exceed the value you set for it...
but as soon as the link becomes congested the queing mechanisms in the router will ensure that it has access to the value you have reserved.. you can use bandwidth % or put an actual kb value there...

check the link below.. if you also have voice youll want to use the priority queue for the voice traffic....
