We are having a problem getting connectivity between our BCN running BayOS 13.20 to talk across a AT&T OC-3 ATM circuit, to a AT&T ATM cloud, then AT&T ATM switch converts to Frame Relay out a T1 line to our ARN running v13.20 also.

Does anyone know what ARP settings should be made for each Router? If we set the BCN to ATMARP as client and the Frame to ARPINARP, the connectivity works, but we are not using LIS and have no servers setup, so were not sure what LIS server it is talking to. If we set both ends to ARPINARP, we see ARP request going out, but they never return.

Thoughts? Need more information?

We have been doing this for 4 years now. You need to set you BCN to atmarp if it connects to a NewBridge switch with Server and a 1200 timeout. If you are connecting to a BNX switch at the telco it would be ARPINARP. Also it is important to set your peak and sustains rate properly with the Telco.
