I am using Outlook Express on my network (Windows XP). I want the messages (sent and received) to go to the server and stay on the server so anyone on the network can look at them.

How do I do this?

Thanks!

Last I heard, this cannot be done, even on OE6. Has to do with the way data is written back and forth to the dbx files. Same goes for outlook pst files.

You really need an imap based system to centralize your mail files, or generate roaming profiles so a copy is placed on the server. There are also 3rd party products to facilitate backups.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

Thanks, Matt. I was afraid that was going to be the answer!

That is NOT correct!

It can be done if you use IMAP, then all messages stay on the server. Of course, it all depends what MAILserver you are talking about, since you did not mention that.

oops, sorry Matt, I noticed too late you DID mention IMAP, I missed it because of the small characters.
