Not in the standard adapter no. There was a modifed adapter around on one of the forums last year - not Mercator supported but at least as good.
You will have to use a run map like
RUN("Map A.mms", ECHOIN(1,data-to-append) + "-OF1+ " + filepath_and_name to append to)
