Purple on black monitor

My monitor was always white on black. Then all of a sudden, during a startup, my monitor letters turned purple. It is very hard to read. How do I get the letters back to white?

check your connection, usally a loose connection causes funky colors

Also -- if have one of those switches on the bottom front of the monitor that goes from color/mono/rbg/amber do you? cycle it a few times if you do. It may have dirty contacts.

Sounds like you lost green tho.

try another monitor to confirm fault is monitor and not video card. If in doubt get the Ball Pein Hammer out

also check the pins in the connector, sometimes if you acidentally forced the cable on the port, two pins might have touched each other when one bent out of place.
