Hi,
Anybody has any idea of the best way to pull data from Oracle to SQL Server ?
This needs to be done on a daily basis and has to be a automated task. Also I wanted to know if there are any utilities for the same.

Any help & suggestions are welcome.

Regards,
Mukund.

Hi Terry,

The sql server version is 6.5.

So I guess I would have to use bcp utility to do the copying. But to do bcp also, I should have data in flat file, which might be generated from Oracle.

Regards,
Mukund.

Sounds right to me. I'm not familiar with Oracle so I don't know if you could Export from Oracle directly to SQL Server. I'm sure you can create a flat file from Oracle and import to SQL Server with bcp. Terry L. Broadbent
