pull-down menus

I am trying to make pulldown menus in Flash. I have come to the point just after the expanded and collapsed labels. But when I try to put actions on the keyframe of either the expanded or collaped frames the "on {release}"action is greyed out. I am also not sure if I am putting the actions on the right instance. Either way it is not working. Any one have any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong.

Attach your actions to the button which triggers the Pull down rather than to the keyframe. Ya' Gotta Love It!

In the 1st scene there is only one keyframe and I need a "gotoandstop" for the collapsed and the expanded state.
