I have a 4 page document with some pictures in and text in it. At most there 6 pictures and some Title Headings with Gradient Fills in them. For some reason this document is 111mb. Any body got an explaniation.

Thanks,

Rizza

Well first of all that does not mean it is over a gig. A gig is 1000 mb. And I have several Pub files that go well over 100 mb. Its easy if the pictures you are inserting are print quality (300 dpi or better) or if they are just plain big pictures. Take a look at the file sizes of the pictures that you have inserted. I also think that Publisher increases their file size when you insert them...I know powerpoint does. If you insert a 200k image into powerpoint it can make your file size go up by a meg or more...don't know why exactly, seems like a bad way to write a program.

Frist off your right i have no idea why i said gig???? But the dir that publisher is getting it's few pictures from is `7 megs and it's only using 5 of the 16 picutes in it.

Ne Way dont sweat it y'all --- it aint my problem no more

Well, like I said, its a bad way to write a program:) I have 4 images in the current publication I am working on. 3 of them are 10x7 inch 300 dpi with an OUTSIDE file size of around 3 meg. The other image is a banner that is about 5 meg. When I send the file to the printer it is 59 meg. Don't ask me, but that's what I have always noticed as "normal" from a M$ program.
