Published apps closing when launching desktop apps ...

I have started to see a perculiar fault occuring when some users are connected to server2. They will launch several published Apps and be working away until they launch something like excel or word locally on their machine. As soon as they launch a local app some of there published apps will close (disconnect). No particular order, sometimes one app, sometimes all of them.

Any clues ?

In your "Terminal Services Configuration" console have you got "Restrict Each user to one session" set to yes (under Server Settings)?

Someone else always has a better answer!

Yes it is. I am confused.

When the users launch multiple Published apps does it consider each one to be a session ? I thought it was still considered as one session.

Why would a local application effect a citrix application ?

I would normally expect all published apps to run in a single session for a user however from what you are saying it looks like that is not happening.

Do all you published apps use the same load balacing rules etc?

Yes, all apps are using available server resource as load balancing rule. Looking in Citrix admin it certainly looks like there is only one session per user.
