I am trying to publish my first asp.net 2.0 web site from my machine to the host (gate.com). The publish feature does not work (probably security issues or something)
I was just going to copy the files up there. I expected to find a dll in my bin folder after I build. The only new dll's I find on my machine are in the Framework folder under a Temporary Asp.NET Files.

My bin folder is completely empty. What is up with this? I'm complete lost.

If the publish doesn't work directly, try publishing it to a folder on your local machine. You can then just upload the contents of that directory to your host

I have not asked a question in a year out here and when I do, my friend from England is still answering my questions. Thanks for being there. I got this to function but ran into a problem because I use SQLXML. I loaded the sqlXML4 folder to the host but I still get an error.
You got me into familiar territory! Thanks!

Your host will have to support using SQLXML. Make sure that is there before going to deep into trouble shooting any errors it may be resulting
