Public Mail Folders vs SPAM

My company has me setup public folders on occasion to recieve resumes from specific advertisements. At the moment I have about 10. Each of these folders eventually gets into a spam list. The big problem is, we've setup an auto-reply requesting more information, and containing a worksheet to be filled out and re-submitted. I've had to setup rules to delete emails from address' and domain that don't really exist. How can I keep the spam from ending up in the public folder to begin with?

I've got a list of services that block spam, but a dozen or so still get in every day.

This has caused a huge problem if the bounce back doesn't contain the keywords of a non-existant user or server. So that email doesn't get deleted, and gets a reply again and again and again. Untill I can manually stop it. This may takes hours, and sometims days if no one is monitoring it.

Recently this has caused my mail servers IP to be added to a spam list it's self. Talk about an all time back fire.

If anyone has done anything like this in the past, please let me know if you've found a good automated solution.

nothing with the current applications you are running (exchange e.t.c.)

but we reduced 10's thousands of Spam mails down to almost none (never get into double figures now)

used a combination of an ISP managed spam filter, of which they forward onto us what they think is the genuine mail.

we have a second SMTP filter in a DMZ, doing more filtering

Pretty much all geniune email gets through, the ISP blocks known spam and keyword based combinations, and as yet have not blocked a genuine email (we can check with an online moniter) even managing to block emails with strings like V|:aG;Ra and all that nonsense.

anything our filter is not sure of it holds it for one of us to release.
