I have created a public folder containing contacts and I would like to share this with all users in my organisation so that they can choose the contacts from the address book.

The problem is that when I create the Public Folder I have to select "show this folder as an e-mail address book" in it's properties. It seems every user has to set this in order to view the contacts within the folder through the address book.

How can I select/force this option for all users?

Thanks

Peter

Unfortunately that is a function of outlook and not the server. I don't think you can force it for everyone.

To accomplish this you would have to add all the contacts as Custom Recipients to the Exchange GAL.

Chris.

Thanks for the responses. We are using a utility to automatically update the Contacts via ODBC from an oracle database so I'm not sure if creating custom recipients in the GAL would solve our problem.

Is there a registry setting on the client that controls this setting?

Regards

Peter
