Public folder age limits?

Does anyone set age limits on public folder items? Our organization uses public folders for contacts and calendars. I want to reduce the item count on some of the folders, because they have items dated since 1998 and are over 10,000 items.

Does anyone else set age limits on Public Folders? How long?

Millions of customers set age limits, that's what they're there for. They stop the PFs filling up with years worth of rubbish, only you've worked that out already.

How long?
Keep the number of items down to a sensible level. Remember the more items in the view the worse performance you're going to get from the view. If it's a low traffic folder then that could be years so you're going to delete based on some other parameter. If it's a heavily trafficked folder you're going to want to do some regular pruning.

How long is entirely up to you.
