I have just replaced a blown PSU with a Mercury 400w PSU. It is supplying +/- 12v @ 12.5v to 12.8v. I realise the recommended +/- is .6v. How dangerous is +.8v to my MB and/or other parts. I am using an ASUS A7V8X-X MB. I have contacted ASUS support to no avail.

Advice appreciated..

Just noticed that I wrote +/- 12v supply...of course this should read +12v...hope that makes things clearer.

Most 12 vdc rated components will handle up to 16.0-16.5 vdc without damage.
