Proxy server setting in AD

Hi all, I have Server 2000 AD setup to push the LAN (proxy server) settings to my XP pro clients, however they do not always get this setting which then meens that they cannot connect to the internet. Can I set this on the actual machine so that the clients always get the right settings?
