Proxy Problem

I was in an internet cafe that had a proxy server. I could browse to the homepage of our Secure Gateway site and login. When I went to launch an application using the java client or local client I could not because of the proxy in the cafe I got an error message. Is there any way around this. I tried using the internet explorer proxy setting this did not work. I cannot remember the error message and the info is vague but the error message was in relation to proxy authentication. Any help be grateful.

Also was in another cafe that had no proxy and evertything worked ok

That is a port blocking problem. They have to allow port 1494 for citrix. They probably block everything but 80 for web browsing.
