I have layer3 switch routings are done with 2 interface defined.
clients are given a default route to one of the interface of layer3.

is routing happens via directly connected interface or proxy arp.
if proxy arp is the case if i am removing default gateway adress in client also it should ping the other host on the other network.it is not happening. is this means that layer 3 switch of 3com doesnt support proxy arp.
if so when proxy arp can be used
