Hi, does anyone have a solution for the following scenario? Need the ability to place calls on silent hold when connected to a conference call so that MOH does not play to everyone who is on the call. By default, External MOH now plays to callers. TIA

Perhaps defining MOH in ICR to a wav file that is silent.

Just add a "Alternate Source" System > Telephony > Tones/Music

Name it Conference on Name/Source

Then do like CarGoSki wrote ^

If it's for external then you might need to play with;

user fwd to conf SC in a HG.....then Dial HG instead of the SC.

Is this a conference call hosted on the IPO or to an external conference bridge?

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

First, thanks to all of you for replying. This is when the CEO is involved in any conference call whether it's outside the IPoffice or an internal conference bridge. He needs the ability to put his conference call on hold to make an additional call out without blaring MOH to the attendees on the conference call.

Maybe it us me but I think it is a little arogant putting everybody on hold to make another call.
Be ready or do not join.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

Most external bridges have the ability to mute the call so mute the call then put the whole call on hold

Internal conferencing - I don't have a solution

I decided the best way to skin this cat is to just have the user put the line into a conference bridge when wanting to make an additonal call. It's not technicdally hold but it accomplishes the same thing. The callers don't hear MOH and it's easy for the user to retrieve the conference bridge.
