I know it is possible to put a password on the pst folder so that when outlook is opened a password is needed however, is it possible to protect the page in much the same way that you can protect a sheet in excel. the reason I ask is that we have a PC which is used by multiple users from the same logon but, only one user has access to outlook and I would like to be able to protect the inbox unless the designated user is viewing it.

Regards

Paul

Anne, thank you for your quick response, however I think you will find that this only works when opening outlook for the first time, what i am looking for is that if the user leaves the PC with outlook open, he/she can protect outlook. Before anyones suggests that the user could hit CTRL+ALT+DEL and lock the computer, the PC has to be available to other users. I was just wondering if there was some way to code some protection in

To my knowledge, you cannot leave Outlook open and still protect the inbox.

However, they could close their PST if that's what they're viewing and downloading to.

You can always try for utilities and other cool Outlook stuff.
