In BO my report has user prompts(using @prompt command) and show list of values from db for the user to select and it's working fine. But once i published the document in WebI, the prompt is not working. The Show Values is not being displayed, do I need to set some options for the same.

Any solution?

Hi,

Did you export the LOVS along with the Universe. Select the appropriate Object - > Properties Tab - > Make sure you've checked Export with Universe and if needed Automatic Refresh and export the Universe.

Hi Sri,

Could you please explain me what those three options meam
- Allow users to edit this list of values
- Automatic refresh before use
- Export with Universe

In the same object I have two different prompts, one has LOV's and the other does not. Will checking the above affects any of those ie., will the values button get enabled even for the prompt that does not have LOV's

Thanks & Rgds

Hi,

"Allow users to edit this list of values"
End Users can modify or delete the LOVs created by you.

"Automatic refresh before use"
Refreshes the LOV before it is displayed to the user otherwise the user has to manually do it.

"Export with Universe"
This exports the LOV along with the Universe when it is exported to the Repository.

You need to check whether the last option is checked. The first two is not mandatory but you can do it as per your needs.

Hi,

I had exported the LOV's to WEBI as told. I am getting a drop down for the prompt where I had hardcoded values and for other prompts where I am getting the values from the database, it neither gives me an option of drop down nor the values button is popping up.

What else am I missing here?

Thanks & Rgds

Hi,

I had found someone mentioning in for the same problem, to do the following

"Go into Supervisor. Position at the top of the user/groups hierarchy. Right-click the WebIntelligence module to bring up its properities. Go into Query and Web Panel -- Use List of Values -- and then turn it on so that it is Enabled (with a green dot). Do the same with Refresh List of Values (insurance)."

I did the same even this did not work. Any help regarding this would be appreciated.

It might sound a bit crazy, but I had deleted all the existing reports and Universe from the server and published them... to eliminate cache problems if any.

Thanks & Rgds
