See previous post re Getting Proliant 6500 w Smart Array 3200.

Succeeded in getting the System Partition updated to specify boot order. Now C, CD, A. I am able to format the Array created on the Smart Array Controller and installed Win 2000 last night. The initial message from Smart Array says it sees "1 Logical Volume" , but at the completion of scanning the array it says "No SCSI Devices Detected"

However, the system still leaves me at an F1 or F10 prompt:

Press "F1" key to continue
"F10" key for System Partition Utilities"

at the end of scanning the array. It also says "No SCSI drives seen"

If I do press F1 I get an "Error loading Operating System". F10 does goes back into the System Partition successfully.

Further suggestions?

I would suggest that this message is informing you that no other SCSI devices have been detected (such as an attached tape drive or similar). I would assume that this message does not refer to the array because the F10 System Partition is loaded onto the array and if you can get into that ok, then the server can see the array.

The fact that when you press F1 you cannot access your Operating System could mean that you need to try a different array driver when you install?? If you boot off a DOS disk and run FDISK, what partitions do you see?
