How can I prevent users from within our organization from sending to one recipient outside of the organization (it is a yahoo address). We don't use the edge transport. We use a third party filter device for incoming email, but all outgoing is sent direct from the Exchange Server. I suppose I have to do something on the outbound mail connectors, but I'm not sure what.

Thanks.

Sure.
Create an AD Contact for that email address. Go into the properties of it, select Mail Flow Settings and then Delivery Restrictions. Enter your own account as the only one who can send to it.

Thanks. Looks easy enough. Will creating a transport rule and choosing the Contact during the wizard, then choosing drop message do the same thing? Your suggestion look much simpler.

Yup, it would indeed.
Can't think of a disadvantage to the HT rule way either.

Both good answers. I like the HT method because it might be easier to track down in the GUI later if you "forget" about why things aren't going to that address.

But a star for each of your for your answers.
