how can i set up a user to restrict him/her going on the www?
i just need her/him to get the company emails. is there any way i can diable her internet explorer working?
any help is appreciated.
thanks

if your network is one segment (one router that connects to internet) and the mail server she needs to talk to is on the same segment, then all you have to do is leave the default gateway empty on her TCP/IP settings, or give her a wrong one....
Then her computer won't be able to communicate beyond her local segment.

yes, i guess we have only one router which connects to internet.
where do i find this TCP/Ip settings? thanks a lot!!

Go to Start>>Settings>>Control Panel>>Network

Right-click the connection and choose Properties.
Highlight TCP/IP and hit Properties.

If your email is not internet based (have to use a web browser to access) then all you need to do is remove the everyone group (and any other group she is in) permissions to the IE.exe then they cannot open or run the browser. Same would go for if the use netscape ect.. Just make sure that the administrator group has full control incase you need to change the permissions.
