progress V8 installation error on win2k3sbs

I am trying to get an old application running on windows 2003sbs. I need to install progress version 8.1 on it and am getting this error:
error box heading: Group description required
box body: Please supply a group description

I have tried changing the group description name to an existing group with no luck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think you need progress 9.1e.
