I cloned win2kpro from one SATA hdd to another. After rebooting at end of clone I stopped machine. Disconnected source hard drive and booted to the clone drive. At startup messages say network or drive missing for some applications. Then internet don't work. When I go to Start, Programs and click my firewall program a message says file is missing and I need to reinstall my firewall. Both FireFox and IE don't work. Applications including firewall icon don't appear in bottom right system tray of clone. How can I fix this?

Programs don't work after cloning

The source has 2 partitions C and E, D is CD/RW drive. Destination drive had 4 partitions including a previous clone. I'm doing an update of a system backup . The cloning software required that the partitions be removed from the destination drive before the cloning could be done. So partitions were removed. After clone destination drive has 2 partitions C and E, D is CD/RW drive. When boot to clone and stattup, message says 'Drive or network that shortcut openoffice.org....lnk refers to is unavailable. Make sure disk is properly inserted or network resource is available'. I cannot connect to the internet and firewall and other icons are missing from system tray at bottom right of screen.

I'm doing backup by cloning latest system over previous clone ie, overwriting. Not using backup software. The .lnk shortcuts point to drive C and Startup folder. The error messages say I should remove the shortcuts from the startup folder or reinstall the programs. Did a search for the shortcuts and when I click them they won't open. Went to Start ,Programs,firewall and clicked. Got error message 'Error during firewall logging system startup. One or more software components are missing Please reinsatall fireweall.'
