A few steps:
- Go to
- Download the Borland C version of xHarbour (0.92)
- Install as indicated
- Use hbmake to create a makefile
- Include gtwvt as a 'terminal' driver lib
- Check for incompatibilities (few, DOS->Windows issues)
- Check app-functionality
- Done
This gives a character mode Windows app, with lightning speed screens(Windows pseudo-'terminal') and processing(32 bits)
Beware of some external libs that are not (yet) converted to xHb, CT is replaced by libct (partly), NanFor by libnf (partly) etc.
For FiveWin there is a script to recompile the latest sources with xHb (If you own that lib) ;-)
There is a NG mentioned, but the last few days I've not seen messages and older messages gone, so I assume (temporary) server problems :-(
There is also a commercial variant, xharbour.com, with support contracts, proper installation, slightly better tools, etc.
